About Invitation 2 Play

At Invitation 2 Play, we are a close-knit team that goes above and beyond to create a family feel in our nursery. Our facilities provide state-of-the-art security throughout, giving our parents complete peace of mind as to the safety of their precious children.

Our mission is to create awe and wonder with Early Years education, through the act of child led play and exploration. We believe that the environment is the thrid teacher and, as a Platinum Award winner for the Woodlands Trust Green School award, as well as a Curiosity Approach accredited nursery,  we encourage outdoor learning and strive to teach our little ones the importance of the surrounding environment.

Our team is highly qualified in all aspects of childcare including NVQ Level 3 in Childcare up to Degree level. We continually invest in our team and provide opportunities to further their knowledge and development which maintains their motivation, commitment, and enjoyment. This could be through long-term qualification routes or short courses or in-house training.

Level 3 Practitioner

As a Level 3 Practitioner, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of young children within our nursery. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, observing and assessing children's progress, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality care and education for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

- Develop and implement a curriculum that supports early childhood development, including planning age-appropriate activities and educational experiences.

Regularly observe and assess individual children's progress and development, documenting findings and sharing with parents.

Tailor your approach to the unique needs and interests of each child, adapting activities and resources accordingly.

Foster strong relationships with parents by providing regular updates on their child's progress, discussing concerns, and collaborating on developmental goals.

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and relevant records are kept.

Work closely with colleagues and share information and best practices to maintain a cohesive and effective team.

Stay current with developments in early childhood education and engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Maintain accurate records and reports on children's attendance, behavior, and development.

Promote inclusivity by providing support and accommodations for children with special needs or diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or a relevant field.

Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.

Strong knowledge of child development, educational theories, and early learning strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Senior Practitioner

As a Senior Early Years Practitioner, you will take on a leadership role, guiding and supporting a team of educators to provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5. Your responsibilities will include curriculum development, mentoring staff, fostering positive relationships with children and their families, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Curiosity accredited curriculum that aligns with early childhood development principles, promotes active learning, and meets the individual needs of children.

Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff members, helping them enhance their teaching skills and overall performance.

Ensure that the highest standards of care and education are maintained for the children in your care, fostering their well-being, development, and safety.

Oversee the observation and assessment of children's progress and development, and collaborate with junior staff to create tailored educational plans for each child.

Establish and maintain strong partnerships with parents, facilitating regular communication, sharing children's progress, and addressing concerns or questions.

Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, overseeing safety protocols, and monitoring records to ensure compliance.

Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting teamwork and sharing best practices within the team.
